Webcast Producer Internship / Pro Sports
Kenosha Kingfish Baseball Club
The Kenosha Kingfish are searching for an individual to assist in producing a 4-camera webcast for each of the 36 home games. This individual will help manage 10-15 camera operators. Last season the Northwoods League drew over 1 million views on their webcasts league-wide. The webcast producer intern will serve under the close supervision of the General Manager. This intern will work directly with the General Manager to not only ensure a quality broadcast of the game, but also ensure sponsorships are fulfilled for commercial breaks. Additionally, this intern will have the opportunity to help the Kingfish sales staff and gain experience in the Kingfish sales department through an optional sales program.
-Reporting directly to the General Manager
-Assisting or helping to manage camera operators and develop a schedule so that each of the 36 home games are covered with three camera operators
-Operate a switcher and four-camera set-up to broadcast each Kingfish home game online at NorthwoodsLeague.TV
-Assist with motion graphic creation for in-stadium video board, including motion player cards using a green screen
-Working with the Director of Marketing and Digital Media Production intern to create short videos that can be used online and on the video board to enhance the fan experience. Examples include, video spoofs, mascots doing crazy things, highlights of on-field promotions, etc.
- Ability to work non-traditional and long hours including evenings and weekends
-Previous experience with Final Cut Pro or iMovie on a MacBook isn't required, but is a skill you will need to learn. Previous experience in either of these will improve your standing (a sample of video editing may be asked for)
-Must be a creative thinker with the ability to think of new, fun ideas to improve the fan experience through video
-Ability to problem solve on the fly
-Ability to complete tasks under tight deadlines
-Excellent communication skills
Big Top Baseball is the largest and most successful summer collegiate baseball ownership group in the nation attracting more than 500,000 fans in 2017. BTB annually hires more than 50 interns for its Northwoods League franchises, the Madison Mallards, Green Bay Bullfrogs, Kenosha Kingfish, and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Each team plays 36 home games from late May through August. Internships run from mid-May through the completion of the season, near the end of August.
