Merchandise Operations Event Intern / Sports Marketing

AEG Merchandise is seeking an Intern to work with our Merchandising / Event Management Team. Our goal is to provide the Intern who is pursuing a career in business operations with a rewarding and enriching experience.

Essential Job Functions: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation or limited supervision.

The Merchandise / Event planning intern will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and coordination of meetings and events as well as Projects
  • Assist with the creation of hard and soft copy files
  • Assisting in communications around event management, timelines, calendars, reports, diagrams
  • Assisting with onsite event management (event staff), and set-up
    In addition to performing the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by Supervisor.

  • Observing client intake and event logistics
  • Assisting in on-site event execution to include set up, break-down
  • Assisting in providing customer service vendors, and customers

    Intern will gain and/or improve upon his or her:

  • General communication skills
  • Understanding of inner workings of planning and event and Projects in the Merchandise Sporting and Entertainment industry
  • Understanding and knowledge of executing Event Orders
  • Planning Meetings
  • Client intake procedures and exceeding client expectations
  • Logistical Support of Special Event

    Qualifications:

  • Be enrolled as a full time student at an accredited college or university
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Be able to work up to 20- 25 hours per week,
  • Possess strong computer skills: (Microsoft Office, - excel, power point) as well internet savvy
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven, self-starter and results oriented
  • Build strong relationships with our team and customers
  • Candidate must be available 3 days out of the week, work 24 hours a week, and be committed to the internship for at least 15 weeks.
