Young Athlete Specialist Internship / Sports Equipment


Nike Sales partners with retailers — from a football specialty store in Rome to a Macy’s department store in New York — to deliver the products, experiences and brand stories that make Nike the preeminent sports brand. It starts with the best sales team in the industry: Nike Sales employees keenly understand consumers, the marketplaces and Nike products. They collaborate with Nike Marketing, Merchandising and Product teams to create sales assortments for each season. The Sales teams’ expertise and retail mindset ignites and sustains a focus on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of NIKE, Inc.


Merchandising / Marketing:

  • Development of merchandising tools and highlighting collection and season stories.
  • Merchandising rules application by key stores
  • Follow up the arrangement of our products and marketing supports in stores
  • Creation and application of corrective actions if needed
  • Analysis of Marketing Operations performance in collaboration with Sales, Operations, Brand and Digital teams
  • Follow up on the examples of points of sale digitalization (all distribution business names)
  • Reporting creation and sharing (once a week)

    Business / Business Analysis:

  • Mix product performance and profitability analysis for each market and each range level by leading field surveys (market shares, competition reports …)
  • Sales performance analysis of differents accounts and creation of monthly review
  • Sharing internal information and then to the account
  • Optimizing the best stores’ results by informing Sales and Purchase team about products shortage and business opportunities
  • Supporting and optimizing the tacking of orders (order management, allocations tracking, exclusivities, drops…)


    · University or Business School with a specialization in Business, Marketing, or Sports Management

    · Very good command of MS Office

    · Fluent in English and French

    · Synthesis and Analysis skills

    · Great spoken and written communication skills

    · Interest in sports

    · Sneakers and Sports addict

    · Movable (trips in France 50% / Office 50%)

    · Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (Sales)

    · Good knowledge of Sports Retail market

    · A Retail experience is recommended

    · A Sport/Retail experience is suggested
