Video Production Intern / Sports Management

The Video Production Internship Program is designed for college students looking to explore a career in video production with a "hands-on" approach by producing, shooting and editing video content. You will operate various production equipment including cameras, lighting equipment, microphones, etc. The intern will assist in capturing and creating video content that are used for a variety of internal and external marketing/communications initiatives for various departments and Team USA social channels. Summary:

The Video Production Intern will have the opportunity to live and work at the Olympic Training Center, creating highly-visible, digital content surrounding our country's Olympic and Paralympic teams. The internship will provide various skills through hands-on experience by assisting with daily video production for the United States Olympic Committee's internal and external programs. At the conclusion of this internship, interns will gain experience in video production, composing shots, editing, graphic work, confidence to produce from start to finish and many more useful skills.

Job Functions:

  • Emphasis will be on editing compelling video content for Team USA's digital platform, but candidate should be comfortable producing and shooting
  • Utilize extensive, historic Olympic archives and video library to tell stories of Team USA's greatest legends
  • Serve as production assistant on video shoots
  • Candidate must be comfortable on set
  • Position may require travel
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and take creative direction
  • Must possess ability to work under time constraints and deadlines

    Qualifications:

    Educational Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor degree program at the junior or senior level status or enrolled in a Master degree program pursuing related degree in electronic media or video production.
  • Video Production experience outside the classroom (shooting, field production & editing) is a plus
  • Understanding of basic lighting & audio theory
  • Flexible hours based on workload
  • Non-linear Editing. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere CC & other Adobe programs a plus
  • Proficiency shooting video using DSLR and ENG Cameras
  • Must have strong interest in post production and editing

  • Standard Office Equipment
  • Microsoft Office
  • Adobe CC: Premiere, Photoshop & After Effects
  • Panasonic GH4, AF100 and P2 Cameras
  • Lighting Kit
  • Wireless Microphones

    Conditions:

  • Office environment in multi-story building on multi-building site
  • Ability to carry 50lbs
