USA Wrestling Intern / Sports Management

Assisting the events department in the planning, operation, and management of regional, national, and international events.

Functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with production and distribution on individual websites and other specific documents
  • Assist with development of pre-event planning, promotion, management and follow-up plans for all USAW events.
  • Assist in development of promotional/advertising plans and advertising design for print and internet mediums
  • Responsible for obtaining pre-event budgets and contracts
  • Assist with volunteer apparel design and ordering for 2017 USAW event season
  • Assist with coordinating the distribution of all event related materials, awards and supplies needed for all events
  • Assist with email blast promotion to prospective event participants

    Educational Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor degree program at the junior or senior level status or enrolled in a Master degree program.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook.
  • Strong writing abilities, strong verbal communications abilities, experience in a variety of social media platforms, good typist. Good listening and interview skills also important. Ability to use video cameras and print photography cameras is a plus. Graphic design and web design skills also a plus.
  • Standard Office Equipment
  • Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook
  • Proficiency with internet search capabilities and usage telecommunications equipment, fax machine, copier
  • Office environment in multi-story building on multi-building site
  • Office located eight (8) miles off Olympic Training Center Property
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from internship
