Consumer Products Intern / Sports Management

The USOC Marketing department is seeking an Intern of Consumer Products to assist with CP initiatives leading into the 2018 Games. Reporting to the Manager of Consumer Products, the intern will be heavily involved in the planning and organizing of Team Processing for the 2018 Olympic andParalympic Winter Games. Furthermore, the intern will support the entire CP team on special projects geared towards increasing CP revenue and exposure. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, has a proven ability to multi task, possesses event management experience, has knowledge of the marketing and consumer products industry and has a passion for sport.

The Consumer Products intern will support the CP team in maximizing revenue and exposure for the Team USA brand. As a member of the CP team, the selected intern will assist with organizing logistics for marketing events leading up to the 2018 Winter Games. Additionally, the intern will be heavily involved with planning Team Processing for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.


  • Assist the Manager of Consumer Products in planning Team Processing for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, including; Hotel logistics, signage, apparel inventory, contracts with vendors, staff and volunteer training
  • Oversee all staff processing logistics for Olympic and Paralympic Games
  • Manage event related inventory and shipping needs for marketing events and photoshoots
  • Assist all members of the Consumer Products team with managing partners
  • Work on special projects related to Team USA
  • Other duties as assigned

    Educational Requirements:

    Enrolled in a Bachelor degree program at the junior or senior level status or enrolled in a Master degree program.


  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook.
  • Proven project management skills
  • Basic knowledge of the sports marketing and consumer products landscape
  • Experience managing event logistics including; designing layouts, staffing plans, working with venue staff and signage
  • Ability to work independently and with a team of cross-functional employees
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously


  • Standard Office Equipment
  • Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Adobe
  • Proficiency with internet search capabilities and usage telecommunications equipment, fax machine, copier


    Some college or better in Marketing or related field.
