Strength & Conditioning Intern - Colorado Springs / Sports Management

Primary responsibility is to support the Strength & Conditioning staff. Provide supervision of the Olympic Training Center Strength & Conditioning Facility

Functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Will serve as an assistant coach to USOC Strength & Conditioning Coaches.
  • Teach and demonstrate proper technique of skills involved in a strength & conditioning program (including dynamic warm-ups, Olympic lifts, plyometrics, agility exercises, etc...)
  • Provide supervision of the weight room facility, maintain equipment, and perform additional duties assigned by staff.

    Educational Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor degree program at the junior or senior level status in Exercise Science or preferably enrolled or recently completed a Master degree program in Exercise Science or related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook.
  • Passion for sport and the Ideals of the Olympic Movement
  • Sport experience preferred (i.e., active in competitive/intramural sports).
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to participate in the full duration of the Intern Program
  • Preferred recognized national certification in Strength & Conditioning (NSCA, CSCCA, USAW)
  • CPR Certification
  • A minimum of 1 year of strength & conditioning experience
  • Aspire to pursue a career as a strength & conditioning professional

    Office environment in multi-story building on multi-building site
  • Strength and conditioning facility and equipment (weight room)
