Responsibilities and Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Student is a Senior in an accredited technical college or university.
  • Bachelorís Degree in Computer Science or related field in progress; or equivalent post high school education and/or work related experience
  • Strong interest in working for Vista Outdoor Inc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Strong self-directed work habits, exhibiting initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance and professionalism
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills, applied with a solution-focused attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Continuous improvement and results oriented.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Respond to service requests for access to Internet sites
  • Receive, analyze, script, and commit firewall changes under supervision
  • Develop and document processes and procedures for performing information security tasks
  • Administer computing devices/systems that enforce security policies and audit controls in Windows environment
  • Participate in the application of fixes, patches and incident response procedures
  • Resolve routine problems with direction from Senior Security Engineers
  • Utilize best practice processes and participate in continuous process improvement efforts
  • Must be able to perform hands-on routine support for a wide range of security technologies including, but not limited to: SIEM, IDS/IPS, malware analysis and protection, content filtering, logical access controls, identity and access management, data loss prevention, content filtering technologies, application firewalls, vulnerability scanners, LDAP, forensics software and security incident response
