Receptionist - Interim / Sports Equipment
JOB OVERVIEW Answer and direct an average of 150-250 incoming telephone calls from Callaway’s 800 Sales number and the main 760 line, and appropriately assist and direct callers in a courteous, and efficient manner.
The Receptionist is responsible for answering and assisting or properly directing incoming calls on the toll-free Sales and standard corporate phone lines in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner as well as serving as the Headquarters lobby receptionist. The incumbent will assist in projects as assigned to support the business.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate continuous phone coverage throughout breaks, lunches and special projects.
Responsible for keeping management abreast of any technical problems with the phone system or customer complaints.
Review after hours voice messages from messaging system and forward to respective employee or department.
Responsible for back up for the Headquarters lobby.
Assist with additional projects as needed.
Meet with Customer Service Manager and Supervisor to discuss call trends and special project responsibilities on a quarterly basis.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Phone Console Experience.
Able to effectively communicate in both written and oral form.
Excellent Customer Service Skills, including the ability to handle difficult customers.
Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Dependability and positive attitude.
Demonstrated ability to work in an organized and efficient manner while multi-tasking.
Basic knowledge of Callaway Golf products desirable.
Able to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.
Basic SAP knowledge helpful.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma
Minimum 6 months related experience required, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
